In Ekstasis, Graham discovered, for herself, the relationship between hip and shoulder as she experimented with the thrust gesture of the pelvis. Ekstasis reimagined follows the same idea and explores “a cycle of distortion” that brings us to our core where ancestral memories dwell. Ramon Humet’s haunting music, based on the poetry by Mario Lucarda, evokes the same ideas. The dance and the music, working side by side, bring us to the moment, to the core of our own being.
