The Martha Graham Dance Company is seeking professional dancers to perform the traditional male roles of the Graham classics as well as new works by today’s choreographers.

Applicants must have a strong command of current concert dance styles, ballet, and Graham Technique. Selected dancers will be offered between 8 and 29 weeks of work for the Company’s 2024-2025 Season, and will be required to become members of the American Guild of Musical Artists AFL-CIO. Graham salaries begin at $720/week and are commensurate with AGMA union contracts.


The first round of this audition will take place through video submissions only. All registration materials and videos must be received by MAY 28 by 11:59pm ET. Invitations to the in-person audition will be sent no later than June 5. Successful candidates will be:

  • Technically excellent in a range of current dance techniques and ballet as well as have some experience in the Martha Graham Technique
  • Experienced in partnering
  • Available July of 2024 for rehearsals and for international travel with no passport or visa restrictions
  • Hold passports and/or visa permitting international travel
  • COVID-19 Vaccination is required for the audition and employment

To be considered, candidates must complete the registration form and submit a 3-5 minute video (your reel) of excerpts that showcase your dancing.
Please note: we are not auditioning dancers to fulfill the traditional female roles at this time.
