Alumni Network

The Graham Center has long been in need of a way to organize and make useful all of the many resources developed over our decades-long history. Above all, we have one invaluable, unique resource that is unquestionably the foundation of Martha's legacy — our alumni.

All of us working to build the new Martha Graham Center are eager to improve and deepen our relationship with our alumni and to initiate a productive exchange. There is much we can learn from former dancers, students and other supporters about the Martha Graham legacy, and much that we hope to offer as the archival resources become more available. We are starting with some small steps: gathering an alumni database, designing an alumni newsletter and hosting alumni gatherings in various cities where the Company performs. Dance Company Alumni

Tickets: Whenever possible, Martha Graham Resources arranges a discount for Company alumni on tickets for performances of the Martha Graham Dance Company. In addition, complimentary tickets are provided for any artist who joined the Martha Graham Company more than 50 years ago.

Volunteer Opportunities: We often receive requests for interviews, panel discussions and similar activities that require Alumni expertise. Join our roster of alumni willing to share their experiences in these ways.

Videotapes of your performances: You may order a VHS tape of any of your own performances that exist in the Center's film archives. These copies are for personal viewing only and are available for the cost of copying, shipping and handling. If you are interested in copies of our archival films for public screenings of any kind, we will be happy to help you with those arrangements.

School Alumni

If you or someone you know has ever attended classes at the Martha Graham School, please send us names, addresses, telephone numbers and approximate dates of attendance. We will add you to our alumni mailing list and keep you apprised of alumni events and benefits. We also welcome any memories or comments about your time at the Martha Graham School.
